RONALD G. HAMPSHIRE
Ronald G. Hampshire, 77, of Flint, TX, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in his home. He was born September 13, 1927 in Kingston to George E. and Alice (Seddon) Hampshire. He married Floy Waldie June 17, 1952 in Gaylord, MI.
Ron served in the U.S. Air Force. He attended Michigan State University, Midwestern University, and received his degree in Christian Ministries from Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, MS. Ron was a dairy farmer. He was a member of Lakeview Church of the Nazarene and The Challengers Sunday School Class. He was in the organic gardening business, and was an ardent organic grower and advisor. Ron spoke to garden clubs, 4 H clubs and Boy Scouts of America troops.
Ron is survived by his wife, Floy; children: Randy (Shirley) Hampshire of Kingston, Kenneth (Kathi Williams) Hampshire of Brighton, CO, Fae Stuart of Hersey; 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; brother, Richard (Joyce) Hampshire of near Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Hampshire and sister, Arlene Moore.
Funeral services held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2005 in Kingston Wesleyan Church with Rev. Kenneth Sanderfur officiating. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. Interment is in Kingston Cemetery. Military honors under the direction of Kingston AMVETS Post #1072 and Kingston VFW Post #5317.
