Gary H. Haebler, 65, of Deford died Friday, November 23, 2012 in Covenant HealthCare, Harrison Campus, Saginaw following a short illness. He was born December 23, 1946 in Bay City to Howard and Inez (DuRussell) Haebler. He married Linda Lou Krueger March 5, 1966 in Novesta Baptist Church, Deford, Michigan.
Gary graduated from Akron Fairgrove High School in 1965. He served in the United States Army for 2 years. During that time Gary was stationed in Kentucky, Georgia, Korea and Missouri. He was a member of the Kingston VFW Post #5317. Gary worked at the Eaton Foundry in Vassar for 12 years before starting his employment at Steering Gear and later Delphi. He retired in 2001. Gary was fascinated with electronics and enjoyed hunting and gardening.
Gary is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Deanna Haebler of Kingston; grandchildren: Kayla Haebler of Kingston, Megan Haebler of Caro, Kody Haebler of Kingston, Kara Haebler of Kingston, Jolie Crittenden of Kingston; mother, Inez Haebler of Bridgeport; sisters: Carol Adams of Essexville, Marilyn Houghteling of Bridgeport, Luann Blissek of Jackson; brothers Arthur Haebler of Akron, Richard (Debbie) Haebler of Elk Rapids; many nieces and nephews. Gary is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Haebler and his father, Howard Haebler.
Memorial service held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Rev. Debra Brown of Kingston United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is in Kingston Cemetery.
