MARY ROSE GYOMORY,
87, of Kingston, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in Huron Medical Center, Bad Axe. She was born August 2, 1930 at home in Novesta Township to Marton and Elizabeth (Kovacs) Paladi. She married Louis Mike Gyomory January 2, 1954 in Novesta Baptist Church Parsonage. He died February 13, 2013.
Mary was a hard-working farm wife right from the beginning. Louis got her involved with the dairy cattle right away after their marriage. She was an amazing, generous cook. Mary loved to cook for family and friends. She was a longtime member of Kingston Wesleyan Church and helped there with many meals for members and friends. Mary worked many years as a cook for Marv and Janice Winter at the Colony House in Cass City. Many brides in the Kingston area trusted Mary to create and decorate their beautiful wedding cakes. Mary also did a bit of “clowning” for family and friends children’s birthday parties. She enjoyed watching golf on television and was often heard cheering for her one time favorite, Tiger Woods. Something that brought Mary great joy was her volunteer work with United Hospice of Marlette.
Mary is survived by her grandchildren: Joseph Gyomory of Columbiaville, Bethany Gyomory of Davison, Ken Holden of Caro; great grandchildren: Greysen Lyric and Livi Blue; nephews: Alex Paladi of Deford and Eddie (Cheryl) Paladi of Cass City. She is preceded in death by her son, Louis John Gyomory; brothers: John Paladi, Alex Paladi, Sr.; sisters: Nancy (Paul) Gyomory, Julia (Steve) Amberboy, Thelma “Irma” Gaydos.
