L. JOHN GYOMORY
John Gyomory, 50, of Lapeer, formerly of Kingston, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 8, 2005 in Kingston Township. He was born November 16, 1954 in Cass City to Louis M. and Mary R. (Paladi) Gyomory. He married Catherine Sefton August 10, 1974 in Lamotte Missionary Church, Marlette.
John graduated from Kingston High School. He received his Bachelor Degree from Eastern Michigan University. John worked as a Real Estate Appraiser for Federal Land Bank for ten years, Independent Bank for ten years, for Hodge Appraisal for about seven years and currently operated Gyomory Appraisal from his home in Lapeer. Over the years, John was a member of many professional associations and was a past member of Caro Rotary. He loved farming, his motorcycle and his dog, Buckwheat.
John is survived by his children: Joe (Shanna Hopson) Gyomory of Lapeer, Bethany (Jason Carnell) Gyomory of Lapeer; parents: Louis and Mary Gyomory of Kingston; mother of his children, Catherine (Bill) Barrons of Hadley; aunts and uncles: Nancy and Paul Gyomory of Deford, Helen Paladi of Caro, Julia Amberboy of Armada; special friend, Belinda Soflin of Lexington; many cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Martin and Elizabeth Paladi, Daniel and Lydia Gyomory, Sr.; aunts and uncles: Irma Gaydos, Alex Paladi Sr., Nick Amberboy, Dan and Mary Gyomory.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2005 in Kranz Funeral Home �- Kingston with Pastor Ken Sandefur of Kingston Wesleyan Church officiating. Memorials may be made to American Red Cross. Interment is in Kingston Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Gyomory: Dick Darling, Randy Hampshire, Kenneth Holden, Duel Morris, Joshua Fricke and Nathan Brinkner.
