STANLEY EDWARD GUINTHER
Stanley E. Guinther, 83, of Westerville, OH died following a lengthy illness Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Willow Brook Christian Home, Columbus, OH. Stanley was born February 1, 1935 in Cass City to John and Marion (Brown) Guinther. He married Melva McConnell May 26, 1960 in Caro.
Stanley graduated from Cass City High School in 1953. He attended Michigan State University before entering the United States Air Force in 1956. Stanley was discharged from the Air Force in 1960 and returned to Cass City. He went to work for General Cable as a purchasing manager until his retirement.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Melva; daughter, Sandra (Andy) Welter of Westerville, OH; son, Mark (Shelley) Guinther of Pleasanton, CA; grandchildren: Drew Guinther, Spencer Guinther, Gretchen Guinther of Pleasanton, CA; brothers: John Richard Guinther of Cass City; James (Joann) Guinther of Cass City; sisters: Norma Szarapski of Cass City; Marilyn (Jim) Young of Caro; many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his brothers: William “Hazen” Guinther, Harold Guinther, Lyle Guinther, Lawrence Guinther, Roger Guinther, Charles Guinther; infant sister, Mary Ellen Guinther; sisters: Evelyn Gruber, Irene Doerr.
Memorial service held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 in Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City with Brad Speirs officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery at a later date.
