LORI LYNNE GRUBER
Lori L. Gruber, 47, of Cass City, died after a short illness Wednesday, April 5, 2006, in her home with her family at her side. She was born June 21, 1958 in Cass City to Edward and Reva (Hutchinson) Dillon Jr. She married William John Gruber June 4, 1974 in Caro.
Lori graduated from Cass City High School in 1976. She was a seamstress, creating beautiful wedding gowns and prom dresses. Lori was a beautiful interior decorator. She refinished furniture and would redecorate entire houses for many clients. Lori was a champion Scrabble player. She was a fabulous cook and cake decorator, making creative, age appropriate cakes for each of her grandchildren. She was a �"Super” mom, but her six grandsons meant the world to her. Lori was a generous helpful person, always willing to lend a helping hand.
Lori is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; loving children: Angie Gruber of Cass City, Tara (Jeff) Ludwig of Almont, William (Kelly) Gruber Jr. of Gagetown, Lacey (friend, Chuck Hughes) Gruber of Caro; grandchildren: Taylor, Drew, Mitchell, Blake, Brock and Trysten; mother, Reva Dillon of Cass City; brother, Patrick (Cheryl) Dillon of Cass City; sisters: Kimberly (friend, Henry) Buehrly of Davison, Kerry (George) Baumgartner of Unionville, Becky (Joe Cooper) O’Harris of Holland, Kelly (Scott) Conrad of Cass City; father-in-law, John (Velma) Gruber of Dothan, AL; brother-in-law, Michael (Doreen) Gruber of Jacksonville, FL; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Dillon Jr., grandparents: Ed Dillon Sr., Beatrice Bohan, Iva Peterson, John Peterson; nephew, Derik Dillon; mother-in-law, Eula Gruber; brother-in-law, Joseph Gruber.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor Robert Sweeney of Cass City Missionary Church officiating.
