Josephine Gray

Josephine Gray, 83, of Cass City, died Friday, December 10, 2010 in Tendercare Nursing Facility in Cass City. She was born November 30, 1927 in Freiburg to Andrew and Ruth (Kritzman) Olsowy. She married Norman N. Gray, June 16, 1945 in St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City. He died February 10, 2009.

Josephine worked at Hills & Dale General Hospital for over 10 years and also did housekeeping. She was a member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church and Cass City VFW Post #3644 Auxiliary. Jo enjoyed dancing, watching the Tigers and Michigan State football. She was an avid Bingo player and pinochle player. Her grandsons were her life and she adored her five great grandchildren who called her “Great Grandma Josie”.

Josephine is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Gray of Cass City; grandchildren: Brad (Alissa) Gray of Flint, Andy (Kim) Gray of Cass City; great-grandchildren: Julian, Emma, Spencer, Kalee, and Kacee; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Phillip Gray; brothers: Andrew Jr and Phillip Olsowy.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 in St. Pancratius Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Bala and Sr. Maria Dina Puddhu MC officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Pancratius Catholic Church Special Projects Fund.
