Doris A. Golding, 77, of Cass City, died Friday, January 9, 2004 in Tendercare Nursing Facility. She was born April 7, 1926 in Pontiac to Roland and Hazel (Chapel) Pearson. She married Keith Klinkman in 1947,. He died October 8, 1973. She later married Ed Golding in 1969.
Doris was a very independent and industrious woman. She worked in the office for General Cable for 15 years. She lived in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she did office work and once was Kelly Girl of the year. She loved bowling and golfing. Doris was a longtime member of Cass City First Presbyterian Church.
Doris is survived by her son, Dr. Michael (Lisa) Klinkman of Ann Arbor, daughter, Deb (Randy) Severance of Decker; grandchildren: Andrew, Emily and Hannah Klinkman all of Ann Arbor, Sean and Brad Severance of Decker; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anne Zeplin.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2004 in Shabbona United Methodist Church, Decker with Rev. Fred McDowell, DASU Parish, officiating. Interment in Evergreen Township Cemetery, Shabbona. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association.
