Gladys Naomi Wallace

GLADYS NAOMI WALLACE  

Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandma (Omey), Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother a woman who loved well and was so very well loved. Gladys Naomi Wallace peacefully passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Medilodge of Cass City at the age of 103. She was born December 2, 1919 at home in Cumber as the fourth child born to Ernest and Anne (Nicol) Pelton.  She married Clark Raymond Wallace on February 19, 1938 in Cass City.  He died November 25, 1993.    

Naomi worked at Steven’s Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide and later for Walbo until retiring at age 62.   She enjoyed square dancing and Bunko club with her husband.  Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, growing flowers and vegetables, canning and baking.  Naomi was a lifelong member of the Argyle United Methodist Church.  She treasured family gatherings, especially during the holidays. 

Naomi is survived by children:  Richard (Judith) Wallace of Cass City, Sandra Bader of Cass City; six grandchildren:  Karen (Kevin) Wagg, Kelly (Scott) Hurford, Kimberlee (Corey) Harmon, Anthony Bader, Andrea (John Nagalski) Wallace, Lisa (Brian) Hibdon; seven great-grandchildren:  Jenn (Jon) Mueller, Grant (Emma) Hurford, Zachary (Emily Taylor) Wagg, Jenilee (Ashton) McCombs, Alexandria Harmon, Reid Hibdon, Cora Hibdon; one great-great-grandchild, Ellery McCombs. Naomi is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wallace; siblings:  Frank (Phyllis) Pelton, Jack (Cassie) Pelton, Margaret (Alex) Cleland; son-in-law, Dale Bader; great- granddaughter, Brook Hibdon. 

A private family graveside service will be held in Elkland Township Cemetery with Chaplain Richard Barriger of Compassus Hospice of Cass City officiating.
