GERALD “JERRY” THOMAS CREASON

     Gerald T. Creason, 78, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025. He was born March 8, 1946, on the family farm in Cass City to Thomas and Margaret (Keel) Creason. He married Harriet Thorp on April 25, 1964 in Reese. She passed away March 4, 2013.

     Jerry attended Cass City Public Schools and worked on the family farm. He worked many jobs over the years. In the mid to late 1960’s, Jerry owned and operated a milk truck, picking up milk cans from several farms in the area. He also worked on several farms throughout the years, while working his job at Active Homes in Marlette, where he was a fabricator, millwright, and journeyman. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed fishing, camping, dirt track racing, and was a member of the M/T Pocket Pullers for several years.

     Jerry is survived by his children: Patrick (Kristen) Creason of Ft. Wayne, IN; Lynne Johnson of Akron, Larry (Stephanie) Creason of Deford, Mary Ross of Cadillac; grandchildren: Jennifer (Brent) Gaffney, Amber (Miles) Neumann, Evan (Kelsey) Johnson, Britny (Kyle) Ross-Fuerneisen, Gabrielle (Blake) Bowman, Courtney (Jeffrey) Buffington, Michaiah Creason, Shannon Ross, Ryan Johnson, Elias Creason, Megdalin Creason, Elizabeth Creason; great-grandchildren: Lily, Blake, Phoebe, Victor, Dahlia, Ayanna, Delaney, Lillianna, Coleson. Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Harriet; sons-in-law: Howard Johnson, Daniel Ross; his parents; siblings: Robert Creason, William Creason, Janet Church, Nancy Urban, Rebecca Halasz.

     Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Sam Leppert, Funeral Celebrant officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to his family (care of Lynne Johnson) to be used at their discretion.
