CASMER GASZYINSKI
Casmer Gaszyinski, 85, of Cass City, formerly of Detroit, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, September 25, 2007 in St. Marys Medical Center, Saginaw. He was born April 17, 1922 in Kingston to Felix and Sophie (Szozepanek) Gaszczynski. He married Rose Danley August 22, 1953 in Detroit. She died May 15, 1971.
Cass served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Ford Motor Company after over 22 years. He was a member of the UAW. Cass moved to Cass City in 1992. He was a member of the Packard Club in Detroit and owned a 1950 Packard which he enjoyed restoring. Cass enjoyed fishing.
Cass is survived by his nephews: Chester Gaszczynski of Cass City, Leonard Gaszczynski of Cass City, Michael (Carol) Gaszczynski of Deford, and Patrick Ustick; many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brothers: Chester Gaszczynski, Stanley Gaszczynski, and Alex Gaszczynski.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2007 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Chuck Emmert of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Interment will take place in Elkland Township Cemetery.
