ROBERT MICHAEL GAGE
Robert M. Gage, 64, of Caro, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 in Cincinnati, OH following a short illness. He was born February 23, 1944 in Cass City to Floyd and Irene (Smith) Gage.
Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Green Beret Paratrooper stationed in Germany. He worked in construction as a maintenance worker and many other jobs. Robert was an avid deer and turkey hunter and he enjoyed fishing. He was a very good uncle and spent a lot of time with his nephew. Robert loved pets. Animals could sense his gentleness and were eager to be around him. He loved his mom and did as much as he could for her.
Robert is survived by his brothers: William (Sue) Gage of Caro, Jerry Gage of Caro; nephews and nieces: Mearreal (Angela) Gage, Billy Gage, Jenny Gage, Deanna (Pete) Miller, Rachelle Boitel, Sue (Jay) Hecht; loving friend and companion, Mary Beth Svoboda; several great nieces and nephews.
Memorial service held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008 in Kranz Funeral Home-Cass City with Chuck Emmert, Novesta Church of Christ, officiating. Memorials may be made to Make A Wish Foundation. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Gage: Brennen, Aaron, Blaine and Brant. Military honors under the direction of Cass City VFW Post #3644 and the U.S. Army.
