ROBERT JAMES FRY,
56, of Cass City, died following a lengthy illness Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Covenant Health Care System, Cooper Campus, Saginaw. He was born November 2, 1959 in Cass City to Robert Francis and Betty Marie (Uren) Fry.
Bob graduated from Caro High School and worked as a baker for Stanley's Bakery. He worked for the Caro Regional Center until moving to Lansing. While in Lansing, Bob worked for Crippen Auto Sales as a sales representative. After moving back home, he worked as a cashier for Wal-Mart in Caro. Bob loved the time he spent fishing in the Cass River with his brother Tim. He enjoyed cooking and baking, but was more of a chef than a baker. Bob made tasty soups and healthy stews. He loved all genres and styles of music but was fond of 80's and 90's rock. Bob was a skilled woodworker, writer of poetry and he painted with acrylics. He was a trivia expert and one of his favorite television programs was Jeopardy.
Bob is survived by his mother, Betty Fry of Cass City; sisters: Mary (Mike) Lowery of Grand Ledge and Janet (Michael) Williams of Owendale; uncle, Donald Deming of Bloomfield Hills; nephews and nieces: Joshua Williams, Jonathan Williams, Morgan Lowery, Maddison Lowery and McKenzie Lowery. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Francis Fry; brother, Tim Fry; sister, Carolyn Fry.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Ellington Township Cemetery.
