ANNA MARIA FREITAG
Anna M. Freitag, 93, of Caro, died with her family by her side Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center following a short illness. She was born January 26, 1916 in Germany to Karl and Adelheid (Neffendorf) Lehrmann. She married Karl Max Freitag May 4, 1948 in Germany. He died December 13, 2002.
Anna and Karl moved to the United States in 1954. She became a United States Citizen shortly thereafter. Anna was a wonderful cook. She truly enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and tending her flowers.
Anna is survived by her children: Birgit Antos of Sterling Heights, Carl Freitag of Caro; grandchildren: Natalie Antos, Trevor Antos. She is preceded in death by an infant son, Hans Dieter; brothers: Wilhelm “Willie” and Eduard; sisters: Gertrude and Christine.
Funeral service held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 in Kranz Funeral Home Kingston with Rev. Rick Brown of Kingston United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in East Dayton Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Freitag: Carl Freitag, Trevor Antos, Alfred Bilicki, Alan Bilicki, D.J. Kammerer and Nick Demgen. Memorials may be made to United Hospice of Marlette Residence Center.
