Raymond J. Frederick, 72, of Livingston, TX, died Friday, August 29, 2003 in St. Mary Medical Center, Saginaw. He was born November 24, 1930 in Cass City to Joe and Levina (Ball) Frederick. He married Marion Palmateer June 6, 1953 in Cass City.
Raymond served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Korean War. He worked as an electrician several places in the U.S. and in Jordon. Raymond and Marion sold their home in Bay City 29 years ago and began traveling the U.S. They were members of the SKPescapees Travel Club. In their travels they made many friends. Raymond loved meeting people and helping people. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and feeding the animals including birds, squirrels and alligators.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Marion; children: Rick Frederick of Las Vegas, NV, Sherry (Bennie) Nichols of Killeen, TX; grandchildren: Cathy (Manuel) Garcia, Stephanie Nichols, Charlie Nichols, Jessie Nichols; brother, A.D. (Maureen) Frederick of Deford; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Arlene Herr.
Funeral services held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2003 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City, with Pastor JT Mabe of Mizpah Missionary Church officiating. Memorials may be made to Mizpah Missionary Church. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery.
Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday
2 to 5 & 7 to 9 p.m. Monday
