MICHAEL RAY FLOWERS,
51, of Deford went to be with his Father in heaven unexpectedly Thursday, September 13, 2012, in his home. He was born December 22, 1960 in Detroit to Ray and Sharon (Box) Flowers. He married Collette Arlane Beyette March 12, 1983 in Kingston.
Michael worked as a roofer for many years. Most of those years he worked for Mike, Joe and Judd Crane of Crane Roofing. Mike was a member of Roofer's Local #149. He enjoyed being outside, working with his hands and helping others. Mike worked on several "Christmas in July" projects in the Detroit area volunteering his roofing expertise. He also volunteered his help on the roof at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Caro. Hunting season was his favorite time of the year. He enjoyed hunting deer and turkey and watching hunting shows on television. Working in his vegetable garden brought him great joy. Mike was always available to help the kids with any project they needed his help with.
Left to mourn and share his memory are his loving wife, Collette; children: Robert (Melissa) Beyette, Sr. of Cass City, Ryan Flowers at home in Deford, Sarah Flowers at home in Deford; grandchildren: Chantel Beyette, Bobby Beyette, Crysta Beyette; mother, Sharon Powell; father, Ray (Nancy) Flowers; brothers: Jeff (Tracy) Powell of Elkton, Greg Flowers of Buchanan, TN, Larry (Lisa) Powell of Detroit; sisters: Teresa (Rob) Snider of Sand Pointe, Cindy (John) McNutt of Buchanan, TN, Barb (Eddie) Young of Decker, Sandy Powell of Decker; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his children: Michael Ray Flowers, Jr., Megan June Flowers; brother, Richie Powell.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Monday, Sept 17, 2012 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Mike Wester of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Caro officiating. Interment is in Kingston Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Flowers: Robert Beyette, Sr., Ryan Michael Flowers, Robert Beyette, Jr., Lawrence Matthews, Jeff Powell, Greg Flowers.
