NORMA MARLENE FISHER,
79, of Cass City, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in Covenant Medical Center, Cooper Campus, Saginaw. She was born December 28, 1936 in Cass City to Ervin and Nellie (Sanders) Brown. She married George Fisher, Jr., September 7, 1954 in Fraser Presbyterian Church.
Norma graduated from Sandusky High School. She worked in the kitchen of Provincial House and then worked at General Cable for several years. Norma later worked in the deli at Erla's Grocery Store. She was a member of Cass City First Baptist Church. Norma enjoyed cooking, working in her vegetable garden and canning her harvest. She was a talented seamstress making much of her children's clothing when they were young and making pajama bottoms for all the grandchildren each Christmas. Norma enjoyed quilting making quilts for each of her children and grandchildren.
Norma is survived by her husband, George; children: Dianna (Rocky) Culpepper of Ocala, FL, Marlene (Jerry) Langmaid of Cass City, George Fisher III of Cass City, Elizabeth (Dan) Manwell of Cass City; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters: Beulah Parraghi of Port Huron, Burnice Scott of Brown City, Janet (Burwyn) Bushlen of Shahala, WA; brother, Arnold (Helen) Brown of Snover; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Jim Fisher; sisters: Marilyn Brown, Elva Snear, Lavone Ashworth; brother, Ronald Baldwin.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 in Cass City First Baptist Church with Pastor David Hill officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Fisher: Paul Langmaid, Craig Heckman, Caleb Hill, Ryan Gill, Joshua Fisher, Joey Ruiz, Jeremy Culpepper. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
