JAMES DAVID FISHER,
82, of Silverwood died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in his home following a long illness. He was born September 21, 1928 in Flint to John David and Myrtle S. (Cory) Fisher. He married Catherine Louise Riley June 10, 1950 in Hazel Park.
Jim served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Tool and Die Maker for Chrysler at the Nine Mile Press Plant retiring after 30 years. Jim enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. He loved to tinker with things and could fix anything.
Jim is survived by his wife, Catherine; daughters: Pamela Louise (Larry) Brothers of Fenton, Denise Dolan of Mainville, OH, Ruth Hensley of Colorado; son-in-law, Carl White of Carpentersville, IL; grandchildren: Lance Brothers, Wendy (Michael) McCarty, Heidi (Steve) Billingsley, Melody (Chris) Kawa, Briana Dolan, Nicholas Hensley, Danielle Hensley; great grandchildren: Austin, Parker, Jack, Lucy, Mason, Adeline, Courtney, Hailey and Henry; brothers and sisters: Jack (Dolly) Fisher of Attica, Norma McGleish of Kentwood, Gerald Fisher of Clifford, Kay (Carl) Kinsey of Madison Heights, Richard A. Fisher of Sebewaing; many nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa White; brother, Richard Edward Fisher and by his parents.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2011 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Clifford with Rev. Richard Treml officiating. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery.
