GERALDINE MARGARET FISCHER,
92, of Caro, formerly of Cass City, died following a short illness, Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Timberline Lodge, Caro. She was born July 26, 1920 in Cass City to John and Sophia McLean. She married Arnold Fischer June 10, 1939 in Sandusky. He died February 15, 1996.
Geraldine grew up on the family farm helping with day to day chores. She loved cross word puzzles and putting jigsaw puzzles together. Geraldine worked for Bauer Candy Company and then in the accounting department of General Telephone. She was a member of the Cass City Woman's Club formerly Cass City Business and Professional Woman's Club and a member of the Bridge Club. Geraldine was a very active member of Cass City First Presbyterian Church and their Woman's Club.
Geraldine is survived by her sons: Robert A. Fischer of Cass City, Rebert J. (Maria) Fischer of Ann Arbor; grandchildren: Elissa Fischer and Bobbi (Frank) Galarno. She is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Lawrence Wilson and her daughter-in-law, Karen Fischer.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Cass City First Presbyterian Church.
