LARRY FINKBEINER
Larry Alvin Finkbeiner, 72, of Caro, died Friday, January 29, 2016 in Agape Care Systems, Caro. He was born October 11, 1943 in Cass City to Walter Theodore and Ruth Esther (Hendrick) Finkbeiner. He married Sandra Blomberg July 9, 1977.
Larry retired from General Motors after 30 years as a supervisor. He loved flying his own airplane and was a member of the Caro Airport Authority. Larry once built a runway while on a missionary trip to Togo, Africa. He made trips to Alaska, the Upper Penninsula and Idaho to hunt and fish. Larry enjoyed photography and owned Backwoods Studio. He made films to take to various hunter's banquets and took videos for the Buckley Steam Engine Show. Larry was also elected as a member of the Ellington Township Board.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughters: Alice (David) DeLeary of Boynton Beach, FL, Cathy White of Kingston, step-daughters: Corinna (Marvin) Baumgarten of Oilton, OK, Darla Whitney of Kingston; brothers: Donald Finkbeiner of Cass City, Eugene (Mary) Finkbeiner of Sumter, SC; step-brothers: George (Norma) Fisher of Cass City, Arthur (Jean) Fisher of Cass City; step-sisters: Carole Ann Hartwick of Cass City, Kathleen (Charles) Hartwick of Cass City, Jeanne (John) Shagena of Kingston; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Finkbeiner.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Chuck Carr of Cass City First Baptist Church officiating.
