Jeffrey Finkbeiner

Jeffrey W. Finkbeiner, 45, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Friday, June 10, 2005 in his home. He was born August 8, 1959 in Cass City to Donald A. and Judith (Helwig) Finkbeiner. He married Deborah Putman.
Jeff served in the US Navy for eight years on submarines and fast attack ships. He was a rescue diver during the Lebanon crisis. He worked for Simpson Excavating, Plastech and Thumb Welding. Jeff was an artist carving decoys and ships. He loved fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Deborah of Middleburg, FL; father, Donald H. Finkbeiner of Cass City; sisters: Susan (Bill) Labaune of Bad Axe, Sally E. Finkbeiner of Grand Rapids, Sharon K. Finkbeiner of Grand Rapids; brothers: Jon W. (Rosemary Szostak) Finkbeiner of Cass City, Jim (Tina Dubay) Finkbeiner of Cass City, Donald L. (Candy Taylor) Finkbeiner of Caro; grandmother, Ruth Fisher of Cass City; nieces and nephews: Kenny Kady, Jeremy Kady, Kayla Kady, Tim Finkbeiner, Ethan Finkbeiner; uncles: Rev. Eugene (Mary) Finkbeiner, Larry (Sandy) Finkbeiner; friend, Ray Grider. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Finkbeiner; brother, Clark Finkbeiner; sister, Dawn Finkbeiner; grandparents: Clark and Myrtle Helwig, Walter T. Finkbeiner; uncle, Tim F. Finkbeiner.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Robert Tucker of Potters House Church officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Military honors under the direction of Cass City VFW Post #3644.
