LENORE LOIS FIELD,
82, of Deford, died following a long illness Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro. She was born May 28, 1934 in Mt. Morris the first of five children born to Russell Lorn and Ruby Louise (Horst) Peck. She married Harold Eldon Field November 8, 1952 on her parents farm in Deford.
Lenore loved working in her flower gardens. She enjoyed reading and canning. Lenore always kept busy whether with her church activities or at home in the house she helped design. She was always very active in the churches attended. At one time she taught Sunday School and played the piano. Currently Lenore and Harold are members of Living Waters Chapel in Caro. Lenore and Harold traveled extensively throughout the United States visiting most every state except six. She was a perfectionist and a devout Christian who knew her Bible well.
Lenore is survived by her husband, Harold; children: Catherine Field of Vero Beach, FL, David (Patricia) Field of Deford, Christine Field of Orlando, FL, Carolyn (Marvin) Klein of Cass City; grandchildren: Jay (Heather) Pierce, Joshua (Jody) Schlabach, Aaron (Dana) Field, Matthew (Casey) Field, Nathan Field, Ryan (Marybeth) McKenzie, Jessica (Matthew) McKenzie Pereira, Corey Gohsman, Lance (Tiffany) Gohsman, Andrea (Mark) Gohsman LeValley, Chantal Field, Nicholas Field, Drew Field; great grandchildren: Megan, Bradley, Cody, Jade, Sebastian, Natalie, Isabella, Luke, Naya, Aiden, Oliveah, Devin, Alexia, Morgan, Emma. She is also survived by her brother, Sheldon (CoraLee) Peck of Fukuoka, Japan; sister, Janet (David) Moody of Middleville; sister-in-law, Jeanne Kaatz of Smyrna, TN; brother-in-law, Alan (Audrey) Field of Holland; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her son, Darrell Field; parents, Russell and Ruby Peck; son-in-law, Scott Gohsman; in-laws, Eldon and Helen (Pratley) Field; brothers: Norman Peck and Vern Peck; brother-in-law, Donald Kaatz.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Living Waters Chapel, Caro, with Pastor James Solomon and Pastor Jon Terry officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Novesta Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Living Waters Chapel, Caro.
