IVA MARIE FIELD
Iva M. Field, 87, of Deford, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in the Carriage House of Bay City following a short illness. She was born November 5, 1920 at home in Deford to John H. and Goldie B. (Cook) Pringle. She married Everett J. Field February 23, 1938 in Caro. He died April 7, 1998.
Over the years Iva worked for Heatherstone Nursing Home, Anrod Screen Cylinder, Cass City Public Schools as a Bus Driver and Iva was Post Mistress in the Deford Post Office working there over 15 years. Iva loved to play Euchre. She enjoyed embroidery, quilting, sewing, fishing and traveling. She was a 4H leader for over 12 years. Iva loved helping friends and family.
Iva is survived by her children: Janet (Linel) Rayl of St. Helen, Bruce (Pat) Field of Freeland, Joye (Eugene) Kramer of Essexville, Jeri (Alvin) Mozdzen of Hale, Jill Vatter of Lansing; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Douglas Field; son-in-law, Robert Vatter; grandson, Larry Rayl; brother, C. Grant Pringle; sister, Hazel Zinnecker.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 in Kranz Funeral Home �- Cass City with Chuck Emmert of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Novesta Church of Christ, the American Lung Association or the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
