IRMGARD ELISABETH FERNHOLZ,
91, of Cass City, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in Courtney Manor Nursing Home of Bad Axe. She was born March 5, 1930 in Germany to Ferdinand and Maria Schulte. She married Kuno Wilhelm Fernholz April 13, 1968. He died February 16, 2001.
Irmgard graduated from high school and worked as a secretary for the textile industry. Over the years, she shared her talents as both a pianist and an opera singer. Her favorite hobbies included crocheting and working in her flower garden. She was always her happiest in the presence of little children whom she adored.
Irmgard is survived by her step son, Rick (Jayne) Fernholz; son-in-law, Bruce Sheridan; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; great friends that appreciated her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kuno; daughter, Susan Sheridan.
