DONNA ISABEL EVERETT
Donna I. Everett, 91, of Kingston, died Monday, March 30, 2009 in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton , OH . She was born March 28, 1918 in Melvin to Forest and Hazel (Laidlaw) Wilmot.
Donna worked in the State Capitol in Lansing after high school, until she married Carlyle W. Everett on August 17, 1941 in Caro, MI. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2003. They had been married for 62 years. She was an active, long-time member of the Kingston United Methodist Church, where she was the Membership Chairman for many years, and Adah Circle of the UMW. She worked for the Farm Bureau, and for Attorney, Randall Smith. She was a member of the Literary Club, the Farm Bureau, the White Creek Floral Club, and was a volunteer with United Hospice of Marlette. Donna enjoyed quilting, reading, cooking, and gardening. She especially enjoyed her four grandsons.
Donna is survived by her daughters: Marilyn (Rev. James) Cattran of Hamilton, OH; Beverly (James) Klein of Kettering, OH. Her grandsons: Jeffrey (Debbie) Cattran of Lebanon, OH; Aric (Jenni) Cattran of Luzhou, China; David (Megan) Klein of Omaha, NB; Great granddaughter, Michaela Cattran. She was excited that her second great grandchild was due in May. Other survivors are her brothers: Wallace (Claire) Wilmot of Royal Oak, Robert Wilmot of Mayville; her sisters: Joyce Barrons and Shirley Powell both of Caro; many nieces and nephews. Special family friends are Ulrich (Lisa) Scheuermann of Gelnhausen, Germany. She is preceded in death by her son, William Thomas Everett; grandson, Steven J. Klein; sisters: Winifred Boyne and Pearl Allen; sisters-in-law, Mildred Parrott and Esther Graham; nephew, Robert Graham.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, in Kingston United Methodist Church with Doug Kramer officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery.
