MARK JAMES ESCHTRUTH
65, of Kingston, died peacefully in his home Monday, October, 18, 2021. He was born September 16, 1956 in Flint to Lynn and Patricia (Gorsline) Eschtruth. Mark married Debra Ann Konkel November 13, 1998 in Marlette.
Mark graduated from Kingston High School in 1974 and earned an associate’s degree in electronics from Delta Community College. He worked at Wolverine Human Services in Vassar for over thirty years and retired in 2021. Mark’s children will always remember his number one rule: “take care of what you love”. He was a family man and loved his children and grand-children. Mark was a hard worker and a social man. Everywhere they went he knew someone. Mark was a fishing and hunting fool. He became a self-taught taxidermist and owned Lifetime Taxidermy. Mark also helped his mother-in-law with the farm tending to sheep, cattle, and hay. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Caro Gun Club, and Deford Community Church. He had a strong faith and enjoyed reading the Bible with Debra every morning.
Mark is survived by his wife, Debra of Kingston; children: James Eschtruth of Kingston, Shannon Eschtruth of Kingston, Crystal (Casey) McAuliffe of Ortonville, Rebecca (Jesse) Lutz of Millington; grandchildren: Kylie McAuliffe, Killian McAuliffe, Kelton McAuliffe, Mark Sprecksell, Isak Lutz, Mira Lutz; siblings: Debbie (Pat) Wilson of Marlette, John (Paula) Eschtruth of North Branch, Patti (John) Rodenbo of Kingston, Kathy (Steven) Konowalow of Bay City, Sandra (Jeffrey) Brown of Clifford, Helen (Shane) Robinson of Three Rivers; mother-in-law, Mary Geer of Kingston. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Joshua Lynn; brother, Lynn Weir Eschtruth.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Deford Community Church with Pastor David Cooper officiating. Memorials may be made to Deford Community Church. Family and friends may share memories, prayers, and photos at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
