Elaine Margaret Hendrick

ELAINE MARGARET HENDRICK 

Elaine M. Hendrick, 91, of Cass City, met her Lord and Savior Thursday, January 30, 2025 in Medilodge of Cass City. She was born July 15, 1933 in Cass City to Frank and Gladys (Zellar) Weatherhead. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard Leroy Hendrick on August 10, 1953. He died June 17, 2024.

Elaine graduated from Cass City High School. She enjoyed gardening and meticulously kept her home clean and organized. Elaine was a loving wife and mother. Together, Elaine and Dick owned and operated the Cass Theater for fifty-nine years. Her duties included working as the bookkeeper, cleaning, and most importantly to those that attended she always made sure there was lots of fresh, hot, buttered popcorn. 

Elaine is survived by her sons: Ronald Hendrick, Scott (Carol) Hendrick; three granddaughters, five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughter, Susan Kay Hendrick; siblings: Kenneth Weatherhead, William Weatherhead, Anita Loomis. 

Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Sam Leppert, Funeral Celebrant officiating. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery in the spring. Memorials may be made to the Cass Theater.
