Eileen Marie Rievert

   EILEEN MARIE RIEVERT    

            Eileen M. Rievert, 69, of Gagetown, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 11, 2023 in Hills and Dales Hospital, Cass City.  She was born July 13, 1954 in Cass City to Norman and Martha (Whidden) Emmons, Sr.   She married her sweetheart, Dennis Jerald Rievert on May 12, 1973 in St. Peter Lutheran Church, Bach.                                                                                                           

            Eileen attended Cass City High School.  She worked as a CNA at Hills and Dales Hospital and Medilodge of Cass City.  Eileen also worked as a manager for the Gagetown Senior Manor.  She was passionate about working with seniors.  Eileen’s hobbies included working in her flower beds, canning vegetables from her garden, and drinking coffee in the morning outside.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially singing karaoke with them.

            Eileen is survived by her husband of fifty years, Dennis; children:  Jeffery (Jeanne) Rievert of Pontiac, Stacy Rievert of Riley, Sarah (Tom) Goreski of Bay City; grandchildren:  Alexander, Courtnee, Maddielyn, Kendall, Kris, Haley, Elizabeth, Finnley, Anthony, Andrew, Annemarie; great grandchildren:  Cooper, Brielle and one great grandson arriving in October; siblings:  Richard Emmons, Leonard “Butch” Emmons, John Emmons,  Ruth Ann (Noel) Loyd, Betty Lou Mayberry. She is preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Betty Stark; father-in-law, Jerald Rievert; siblings:  Bernard (Carol) Emmons, Shirley Emmons, Norman Emmons, Jr.; sisters-in-law:  Joyce Emmons, Linda Emmons.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2023 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Kyle Boils, Senior Pastor of Ridgeway Nazarene Church in Britton officiating.  Interment will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Sebewaing Township.  Memorials may be made to Dennis Rievert for the family discretionary fund.
