EDWARD ALLEN PROFIT
Edward A. Profit, 85, of Cass City, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2024 in his home following a short illness. He was born March 7, 1939 in Cass City to William and Hazel (Crawford) Profit. He married Judith Mary Ignash on February 2, 1969 in Las Vegas.
Ed graduated in 1957 from Cass City High School. He attended Lansing Business University and Michigan State University. Ed was employed by several local businesses including: Frutchey Bean Company, S&H Oil Company, and Klein Fertilizer. He also worked for the Caro Regional Center for seventeen years and retired in 1996. Ed enjoyed going for car rides and reading mystery novels. He was fan of the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, Lions, and all MSU sports.
Ed is survived by his wife, Judy; children: Scott Profit of Midland, Linda Sue Gregg of OR; William J. Profit II of Toledo, OH; Connie (Duane) Kruse of Caro; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law: Anthony Ignash of Pigeon, Jerry (Tonda) Ignash of Bullhead City, AZ; David (Kathy) Ignash of Pigeon. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marilyn Profit; siblings: Leslie (Maxine) Profit, Lewis (Maxine) Profit, Helen (Maurice) Willits.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Tim Callow of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Ed will be: Kirk Profit, Jill Profit, Reggie Ignash, Brian Ignash, Michael Ignash, Duane Kruse. Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church, Rawson Memorial Library, or Aspire Hills & Dales Hospital Auxiliary.
