LEONA MARJOLAINE EBERLINE,
89, of Cass City, died following a short illness Sunday, September 21, 2014 in her home with her family by her side. She was born January 5, 1925 in Holcomb, MO to Walter Irvine and Alena Mae (Hogg) Gould. She married William Charles Eberline, Sr., April 29, 1944 in Napoleon, OH. He died October 29, 1997.
Marge graduated from Flint Northern High School. During World War II Marge worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" at the A.C. Spark Plug factory in Flint. In 1954 Marge and Bill moved to Cass City with Walbro Manufacturing. Marge worked for General Cable for 21 years. She loved working in her flower gardens. Marge enjoyed sewing and was a member of the "Cross Eyed 6", a sewing club here in Cass City. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and several clubs when first moving to Cass City. But most important to Marge was her family. She truly enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
Marge is survived by her children: William C. (Wendy Hockey) Eberline, Jr. of LaFollette, TN, Sharon (Ross) Kraft of Owendale, David Eberline of Cass City; daughter-in-law, Kelly Eberline Cherry of Cass City; grandchildren: Amy (Chris) Harper, Michael (Brittany) Francis, Brook (Fernando) Brown, Marla Eberline, Lesley Eberline, Evan Eberline, Holly (Charles) Kim; great grandchildren: Savannah, Preston, Kennedy, Clare and J.D.; brother, Ron Gould of Linden; sisters: Carolyn Cronk of Berkley, Sandy (Butch) Russell of National City; sister-in-law, Vivian Thacker; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers: William Gould, Kenneth Gould, Donald Gould, Ray Gould; sisters: Wanda Lee Gould, Louise (Lawrence) Blackmer, Donna (Rev. Calvin) Chaffin and brother-in-law, Dean Cronk.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. Steven Bagnall officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Eberline are her children and grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Home and Hospice Advantage or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
