BRIAN KEITH DUQUESNAY,
54, of Caseville died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in his home. He was born May 4, 1958 in Northbridge, MA to Dennis and Cecile (Boulanger) DuQuesnay.
Brian served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1983. He worked for General Cable for 9 years until they closed. Brian received his L.P.N. degree from St. Clair County Community College. He worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Health Source in Saginaw. He was an active member of Hayes United Methodist Church serving on their Board of Trustees. Brian was a skilled wood worker. He could take an old, worn piece of furniture and make it beautiful. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with family and friends and had a great passion for music. Whether he was playing guitar with a band, for his church family or just with a group of friends and family, he was at peace making music.
Brian is survived by his children: Brenda DuQuesnay of Caro, Amy (Christopher Wilkewicz) DuQuesnay of Shelby Township, Scott DuQuesnay of Cass City; close friend and mother of his children, Linda DuQuesnay of Cass City; mother, Cecile DuQuesnay of Pittsfield, NH; brother, Steven (Suzanne) DuQuesnay of Woonsocket, RI; sister, Dee (Frank) Bent of Pittsfield, NH; several nieces and nephews; his best friend, Frank Russell; and his dog, Chloe. Brian is preceded in death by his father, Dennis DuQuesnay.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Kranz Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Nowacek of Yale United Methodist Church and Pastor Karl L. Zeigler of Hayes United Methodist Church officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Military honors under the direction of the U.S. Army and Cass City VFW Post #3644.
