LAURENCE “LARRY” THOMAS DUNCAN, SR.
Laurence “Larry” T. Duncan, Sr., 82, of Kingston, died following a lengthy illness Saturday, January 19, 2019 in Fisher Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center, Mayville. He was born May 29, 1936 in Flint to William Samuel and Martha Margaret (Thomas) Duncan. He married Patricia Ann Hill in 1959. She died April 2009. Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He served aboard the USS DeLong, a Rudderow-class destroyer escort, active during World War II and the Cold War. Larry worked as a self employed drywaller. He enjoyed time spent growing and caring for his beautiful flower and vegetable garden.
Larry is survived by his sons: Larry (Tamasine Fallon) Duncan, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; Daniel Duncan of Caro; grandson, Joshua Mullins of Missouri; sisters: Carol Dipzinski of AuGres; Holly Pierce of East Tawas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Kingston United Methodist Church, with Pastor Mark Harriman officiating. Interment will take place in Kingston Cemetery.
