KENNETH ROBERT DUBAY, SR.,
58, of Cass City died unexpectedly Friday, May 20, 2011 in Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City. He was born November 28, 1952 in Mt. Clemens to Thomas William and Eleanor Louise (Ehrke) Dubay. He married Diana Mary Rick September 1, 1973 in Mt. Clemens.
Ken worked for Daimler Chrysler at the Sterling Stamping plant from 1972 until his retirement February 29, 2008. He was a member of UAW Local #1264. Ken enjoyed playing BINGO, visiting casinos, doing yardwork, working in his garden and feeding and watching the birds. He also loved watching Tiger Baseball and Red Wing Hockey. Ken's greatest love was babysitting his grandsons. He loved making things outside with them and playing games with them.
Ken is survived by his wife, Diana; children: Tina (Jim) Finkbeiner of Cass City, Kenneth Dubay, Jr. of Cass City, Christopher Dubay of Cass City, Kelly (Paul Ahejew) Dubay of Bridgeport; grandsons: Christopher, Jr. and Jacob; brothers: Thomas “Butch” (Irene) Dubay, Frederick (Eddie) Dubay; sisters: Mary Dubay, Barbara (Jim) Jorgensen, Linda (Ed) Aderman; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Joy Koss and his parents.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Sr. Maria Dina Puddu MC of St. Pancratius Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
