Helen Drier

Helen L. Drier, 80, of Cass City, died Sunday, February 22, 2004 in Bay Medical Center, Bay City. She was born January 26, 1924 in Canandaigua, NY to William and Sarah (MacMahon) Overhiser. She married Courtland Drier October 1, 1949 in St. Louis, MO. He died June 12, 1989.
Helen enjoyed her flower gardening, NASCAR racing, crocheting and reading. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Helen was a member of Ellington Church of the Nazarene.
Helen is survived by her children: Sandra Flanders of East Amherst, NY, John (Sue) Flanders of Orchard Park, NY, Michael (Sabrina) Drier of Unionville, TN, Lynn (Gary) Dillon of Cass City; grandchildren: Angela (Eric) Szidik, Charles Drier, Jason Drier, Eric Dillon, and Sarah Dillon; great grandchildren: Aden Szidik and Bailey Lockhart; sisters: Genevieve Vogel of West Seneca, NY, Joan (Wallace) Dow of Paw Paw; brother-in-law, Doug Lane of Wisner; sister-in-law, Marianne Overhiser of Browns Mills, NJ; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Lane and brother, William Overhiser. Memorial service will be held at a yet to be determined date in May, 2004. The service will be held at her graveside at Ellington Township Cemetery where she will be interred with her husband. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Helen’s memory, may do so to the American Kidney Fund or the Ellington Church of the Nazarene.
