Leonard H. Douglas, 84, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 4, 2004 in his son’s home. He was born September 30, 1919 in Detroit to Harold and Irene (Michalski) Douglas. He married Norma Wall March 3, 1951 in Detroit. She died July 1, 2003.
Leonard served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a carpenter for the City of Detroit for many years. Leonard was an artist, woodmaker, creating beautiful carvings from wood.
Leonard is survived by his sons: Scott (Laura) Douglas of Wixom and Robert Douglas of Cass City; grandchildren: Bryan, Daryl, Lindsey, Sean and Chris Douglas. He is preceded in death by a four year old brother.
