 DONNA JEAN KLAUS 

Donna J. Klaus, 92, of Sebewaing, died Monday, August 26, 2024 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro. She was born November 29, 1931 in Port Huron to Harry and Irma (Hamm) Bishop. She married Richard Ralph Klaus on June 21, 1951 in Deckerville. He died August 23, 2010. 

Donna graduated from Deckerville High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and later a master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University. Donna taught emotionally impaired children for over thirty years until retiring. She enjoyed traveling to Germany visiting family. Donna was known for mailing cards to everyone for their birthdays, anniversaries, and thank you cards. During her time living in the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, she easily made many friends.

Donna is survived by her son, Phillip (Cindy) Klaus of Cass City; daughter-in-law, Jan Klaus; sister, Barbara Terpstra; grandchildren: Marcia (Nathan) VanderElzen, RJ (Katie) Klaus, Laura (Pat) Andres, Lisa (Branden) Gettel, Douglas Morgan, Trevor (Jackie) Morgan, Brandon (Amanda) Fischer; many great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son, Paul Klaus; brother, Clifton Bishop; brother-in-law, Richard Terpstra. 

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Charles Kuhl of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Sebewaing officiating. Interment will be in Downing Cemetery, Deckerville at 3:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to Revive Common Grounds Cafe.

Visitation: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City
