Donna Dombrowski Harmon

DONNA MAE DOMBROWSKI HARMON,
88, of Caro, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 3, 2016 in Covenant Medical Center Cooper Campus, Saginaw. She was born May 9, 1927 at home in Caro the youngest of nine children born to John and Marguerite (Karber) Hergenreder. She married Michael Dombrowski, Sr. September 14, 1946 in Caro. He died January 3, 1985. Donna later married Walter E. Harmon March 19, 1994 in Kingston. Walt died November 29, 2000.

Donna graduated from Caro High School. She worked at Caro Regional Center in housekeeping and kitchen but retired in 1982 after many years as an Attendant. She was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church. Donna was also a life member of Caro VFW Post 4164 Ladies Auxiliary. She served on the Wells Township Board of Review for many years. Donna enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and working in her flower gardens. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre, with family and friends and playing Farkle with her Timberline family.

Donna is survived by her children: Michael (Sue) Dombrowski of Caro, Linda (Robert) Plane of Caro; Jane Roehm of Bath; grandchildren: Heidi (Scott) Putnam, Greg (Erinn) Dombrowski, Dawn (Brandon) Daniels, Lisa (Jay) Green, Karen (Chris) Hancox, Robert (Sarah) Plane Jr., Joel (Amberly) Stutz, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Stutz; 20 great grandchildren; great great grandson, Jackson; sister, Sue Gray of Grand Blanc; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sisters: Elizabeth Kroll, Ethel Kurtansky; brothers: Jack Hergenreder, Andrew Hergenreder, August Hergenreder, Phillip Hergenreder and George Hergenreder; brother-in-law, Donald Gray.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Kingston United Methodist Church with Rev. Carol Abbott officiating. Interment will be in East Dayton Cemetery. Pallbearers for Donna will be her grandsons: Greg Dombrowski, Scott Putnam, Brandon Daniels, Jay Green, Chris Hancox and Robert Plane, Jr. Memorials may be made to Kingston United Methodist Church.
