JAMES OWEN DIBBLE
James O. Dibble, 74, of Bay City, formerly of Kingston, died Thursday, November 6, 2008 in his home. He was born September 14, 1934 in Flint to Earl and Sylvia (Streeter) Dibble. He married Jacklene Eva Freeman February 28, 1952 in Deford. She died September 26, 1994.
Jim worked for General Motors in Flint as a Metal Fabricator retiring after 26 years. He loved to work in his lawn and burn leaves. He enjoyed deer hunting, snowmobiling and spending time at the family cabin. Jim had a great sense of humor. He was a hardworking family man and a good provider. He was friendly and loved people. Jim loved junk food, old cars, attending old car shows and tractor pulls. His favorite dog was Yogi and they ate popcorn together.
Jim is survived by his children: Roxanne (Gerhardt) Mock of Kingston, Owen J. (Sandra) Dibble of Caro, LoAnne (Matthew) Tompkins of Vassar, Jule (Rick) Hill of Bay City; grandchildren: Gary, Dana, Owen, Kelly, Amie, Miles, Nicole, R.J., Alyssa, Matthew; great grandchildren: Taylor, Tori, Terra, Zaiden, Taylor, Erica, Brady, Gavin and Collin; brothers and sisters: Arlene Costello of Burton, George (Peggy) Dibble of Caro, Elaine (John) Newton of Mayville, Donna (C.G.) Edwards of Winterhaven, FL, Shirley (Lyle) Ludlow of Greenville, OH, Ronald (Lou) Dibble of Deford, Connie (Thomas) Motley of Brown City, Donald (Karin) Dibble of Cullman, AL; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brothers: Robert Dibble, Earl Dibble and Gerald Dibble.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2008 in Kranz Funeral Home Kingston with Pastor Len Wyatt of Kingston Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will be in East Dayton Cemetery.
