Drew L. DeLong, 22, of Kingston, died suddenly Saturday, April 24, 2004, in a car accident with his cousin, Michael Wark, in Huron County, MI. He was born November 20, 1981, in Pigeon to Duane and Denice (Parker) DeLong.
Drew graduated from Kingston High School in 2000. He attended Central Michigan University one year following high school. He worked at Northwood Modular Homes and later with Zitos Excavating Co. Drew was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed many sports, including football, basketball, baseball and wrestling. He loved his hound dogs.
Drew is survived by his parents: Duane and Denice DeLong of Kingston; siblings: Dennis (Melissa) DeLong of Kingston, Dana (Nadeene) DeLong of Kingston, Dirk (Misty) DeLong of Cass City, Denelle (Todd Falko) DeLong of West Bloomfield, Davon DeLong of Kingston; grandparents, Donald (Geraldine) Parker of Mio; nieces and nephews: Samantha, Allison, Kendra, Jennifer, Newt, Jade, Jake, Kelly, Ryan; aunts and uncles: Vickie (Grant) Merchant of Gagetown, Becky (Tim) Obermiller of Mio, Francis (Sharon) DeLong of Cass City, Connie (Manuel) Benitez of Cass City, Donna Lenhard of Cass City, Robert (Kathy) DeLong of Cass City, Richard DeLong of Cass City; several cousins; special friend, Alicia Nicol. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Donald (Lucille) DeLong; cousins: Paul DeLong and Noah Obermiller.
A Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004, in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Reverends Ron and Darlene Kuenzli of Caro Community of Christ Church. Memorials may be made to Paul DeLong Memoral Fund.
