RICK DAVID DAMM,
61, of Pinellas Park, FL, formerly of Cass City, died following a short illness Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in Suncoast Hospice Mid Pinellas Woodside, Pinellas Park, FL. He was born September 21, 1956 in Cass City the second of three children born to Dale and Mary (McClorey) Damm.
Rick was a 1975 graduate of Cass City High School. Soon after graduating he moved to Florida where he attended St. Petersburgh College for a short time and then became manager of a Winn Dixie store in Pinellas Park. He was currently employed at EMMI. Rick enjoyed going to the Tampa Bay Ray’s ball games. He was a great sports fan, watching any game or golf that was on TV. Rick also liked to cook and was quite a talented Chef.
Rick is survived by his daughter, Stacy Thornton of Pinellas Park, FL; grandson, Les Thornton; mother, Mary Damm of Cass City; brother, Randy (Carmen) Damm of Cass City; sister, Susan (Tim) Wooster of Flint; nephews: Jason (Liz) Damm of Columbus, IN, Ethan Damm of Cass City; 2 great nieces; aunt and uncle, Beverly (George) Frank of Cass City; several cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2017 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church. Interment will take place in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
