MARION LUCILE PERRY DAFOE
Marion L. Dafoe, 92, of Cass City, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008 in Northwood Meadows Medical Care Unit, Cass City following a long illness. She was born December 22, 1915 at home in Sanilac County to George and Anna Luella (Frank) Bullock. She married Ralph John Perry May 5, 1937 in Caro. He died December 6, 1998. She later married Lawrence Dafoe May 10, 2003 in Cass City.
Marion was a homemaker and helped on the family farm, later traveling to Ralph’s various places of work. She was dedicated to keeping a diary of her life. Marion enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sewing.
Marion is survived by her husband, Lawrence Dafoe; sons: Jimmie (Geraldine) Perry of Cass City, Ronald (Arlone) Perry of Talala, OK, Richard (Paula) Perry of Owosso; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters. In addition, she is survived by two sisters-in-law: Josephine Patterson of Ubly, Lela Higgins of Sandusky; brother-in-law, Orville Dafoe of Lansing; numerous nieces and nephews; stepsons: Charles (Peggy) Dafoe of Flint, James (Rhonda) Dafoe of Fountain; four step-grandchildren and one step-great granddaughter as well as many loving friends and neighbors. Marion was preceded in death by sisters: Hazel Thane, Myrtle Montague, Mildred Bullock; brothers: Eldon Bullock, Ferris Bullock; granddaughter, Kay Ellen Perry.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2008 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Chuck Emmert of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rawson Memorial Library for the �"Tyler Perry historical projects”. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
