MARY JANE DADACKI
81, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 3, 2022 in Covenant HealthCare Emergency Care Center, Saginaw. She was born in Detroit on September 12, 1940 to Anna Willmek and raised by her grandparents, Peter and Rose Nowak. She married Bernard Stephen Dadacki on November 12, 1960 in St. Pancratius Catholic Church of Cass City.

Mary Jane along with her husband owned and operated a dairy farm for over fifty years. In addition to raising their family of five and managing the farm, Mary Jane worked at Hills and Dales General Hospital as a cook. She especially enjoyed traveling out west to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and Sequoia National Park of California. Many special memories were created around her kitchen table and on the lawn with aunts, uncles, and cousins gathering for holidays and family reunions.

Mary Jane was a great cook and was blessed with an artistic talent for painting and drawing. She was fond of visiting with friends, watching western movies, and playing cards. Mary Jane will be remembered for her quiet and shy smile. She was a faithful and loving mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Bernard; children: Linda Dadacki of Caro; Steven Dadacki of Caro; Shirley Keyes of Miami, FL; Dennis Dadacki of Wausau, WI; Allan (Kimberly) Dadacki of Caro; grandchildren: Tara Marie Foote, Victoria Keyes, Dylan Dadacki, Alyssa Dadacki, Austin Dadacki, Michael Ziegler, Kelly Ziegler, Emily Ziegler; great grandchildren: Brenden, Hunter, Lorelai, Finnigan, Liam; siblings: Mary Ann Egan of West Bloomfield; Raymond Fritz of Sebewaing; Margaret Timmons of Owendale; Arnold Fritz of Elkton; Eddie Fritz of Sebewaing. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister, Pat Fritz; grandson, Kyle Diaz.

Funeral mass held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City with Rev. Theo Nnabugo officiating. Interment in Elkland Township Cemetery in the spring. Memorials may be made to Bernard Dadacki to be used for the family’s discretion.
