Gary Czekai

Gary M. Czekai, 67, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Monday, October 4, 2010 at his home. He was born October 11, 1942 in Cass City to George and Doris (Greenleaf) Czekai. He married Margaret Kozan on June 29, 1963 at the Cass City United Methodist Church.

Gary was a Cass City High School graduate. He retired from General Cable in 2001 and from Michigan Sugar in Caro in April 2010. Gary loved his animals and enjoyed his small farm. He also enjoyed watching his grandkids participate in sports and going to auctions. Gary especially loved his wife, Margaret along with his children and grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his wife, Margaret; children: Ron (Cathy) Czekai of Cass City, Terry (Shannon) Czekai of Cass City, Brian Czekai of Bay City, Keith (Nikki) Czekai of Cass City, Julie (Larry) Janik of Bad Axe, Gary Tom (Jodi Wood) Czekai of Cass City; grandchildren: Adam Czekai, Renee Czekai, Terra Czekai, Mandy Czekai, Henry Janik, Tyler Czekai, Gary Janik, Heather Czekai, Brian (Alissa) King, Patrick King (fiancé Melissa Horbal), Rachel Janik, Sami Janik; great grandchildren: Alexis King, Logan King; brother, Richard (Judy) Czekai of Flushing; aunt, Gladys Goss of Marlette. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wallace Czekai.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 in Cass City United Methodist Church with Rev. Jackie Roe officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery.
