Andrew J. Cushman, Jr., 63, of Deford, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at home. He was born November 15, 1939 in Augusta, GA to Andrew J. and Mary G. (Easler) Cushman.
Andrew worked as a truck driver for 40 years. He loved fishing, gardening, reading and tinkering with machinery. Andrew and Alnita enjoyed raising many different critters from little to big. He enjoyed his time at the Marlette Stockyard visiting with friends. He was a very giving person.
Andrew is survived by his life companion, Alnita Lester; his mother, Mary Pauline of W. Columbia, SC; brothers: Milton P. Cushman, Don Cushman, Phillip Cushman, Ray Cushman, Johnny Pauline; sisters: Betty M. Wortham, June J. Adkins, Patsy V. Adkins, Cindy J. Burns; many nieces and nephews; Alnita’s family: her mother, Helen Schlie of Gold Canyon, AZ; her children: Richard Lester, Yvonne “Bonnie” (Duane Morris) Lester of Kingston; Lisa (Tracy) Margon of Mesa, AZ, Terry Lester of AZ; grandchildren, great grandchildren; many special friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Helen Garner.
Funeral services held 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2003 at Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Rev. Terry Butters of Kingston United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is in Novesta Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.

2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday
