HARRIET LAURA CREASON,
70, of Deford, died following a short illness Monday, March 4, 2013 in her daughter's home. She was born December 13, 1942 in Reese to Ambrose and Laura (Dorrance) Thorp. She married Gerald Thomas Creason April 25, 1964 in the United Methodist Church in Reese.
Harriet worked in laundry, housekeeping and as a nurses aid for Tendercare Cass City for over 16 years. She enjoyed the four generation family camping trips their family shared. Harriet enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross stitching. She was a member of the MT Pocket Pullers.
Harriet is survived by her husband, Gerald; children: Patrick (Kris) Creason of Fort Wayne, IN, Lynne (Howard) Johnson of Akron, Larry (Stephanie) Creason of Deford, Mary (Dan) Ross of Manton; grandchildren: Gabrielle, Michaiah, Megdalin, Elias, Jennifer, Evan, Courtney, Ryan, Shannon, Amber, Britny, Chris, Shian and Amaris; brothers: Ward Thorp of El Paso, TX, Fred Thorp of Cass City; sister, Vera Markhart of Reese; sisters-in-law: Arlene Thorp of Sanford, Marie Thorp of Owendale; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Robert Thorp, Jack Thorp, Paul Thorp; sister, Colleen Hawley.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. Judy Esckilsen officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery.
