Bertha J. Creason, 75, of Caro, died following a long illness Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in her home with her family by her side. She was born February 23, 1936 in Deckerville to August and Pearl (Jenereaux) Schenk. She married Wayne Daily Creason September 9, 1955 in Cass City First Baptist Church.
Bertha was a homemaker taking care of her husband and children. She enjoyed working in the garden. For many years Bertha raised birds, including parakeets, African grays, parrots, and finches.
Bertha is survived by her husband, Wayne; children: Anna Mathews of Caro, Diana Creason of Caro, Barb (Steve) Conaway of Rowan, IN, Randy Creason of Caro, Roxanne McLellan of Caro, Larry Creason of Caro; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brother, August (Shirley) Schenk of Gagetown; sister, Marie Tillman of Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Wayne Creason.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Chuck Carr, Cass City First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
