VIRGINIA ANITA CRAWFORD
Virginia A. Crawford, 86, of Cass City, died Saturday, September 30, 2006 in Northwood Meadows Medical Care Unit, Cass City after a long illness. She was born August 16, 1920 in Detroit to Emile and Pearl (Bovee) Bluhm. She married Norman Robert Crawford July 10, 1943 in Dearborn. He died January 20, 1991.
Virginia was a school teacher, teaching Second grade for Cass City and Deford schools. She was a member of Cass City First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Liturgist, Deacon and Elder with the church Session. She was a very active member and former officer of the First Presbyterian Womans Association for many years. Virginia also was a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the MEA.
Virginia is survived by her daughters: Anita Crawford of Phoenix, AZ, Sharon (Alan) Maurer of Bad Axe, Sharla Crow of Sikeston, MO, Lora (Richard) Kulinski of Deford, Manette Crawford of Lincoln Park; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Doris) Bluhm of Belleville; sister, Deloris Doria of Plymouth; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, David Crawford; a granddaughter; and her brother, George Bluhm.
Funeral service held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2006 in Cass City First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Blackburn officiating. Memorials may be made to Cass City First Presbyterian Church or American Cancer Society. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Crawford: Alan Maurer, Chad Maurer, Keith Maurer, Rick Kulinski, Cory Kulinski, Kevin Kulinski.
