Elaine Crane

Elaine R. Crane, 79, of Cass City, died Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at her brother’s home. She was born August 29, 1924 in Elkland Township to Edward and Ruth (Jackson) Hartwick. She married James �"Jay” William Crane April 19, 1951 in Fraser Presbyterian Church. He died March 16, 1999.
Elaine worked at Walbro from 1955 until her retirement. She was a very active member of the Cass City First Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Cass City V.F.W. Ladies Auxilliary.
Elaine is survived by her grandchildren: Bobbi (Frank) Galarno of Saginaw, Jamie Withey of Cass City; 2 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Robert Fischer of Cass City; siblings: Leland (Wilma) Hartwick of Cass City, Leslie (Carole) Hartwick of Cass City, Robert (Pat) Hartwick of Zephyrhills, FL, Charles (Kathleen) Hartwick of Cass City; sisters-in-law: Gloria Hartwick of Cass City, Marilyn Crane of FL; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jay; son, James (Deborah) Crane; daughter, Karen Fischer; siblings: Arlan (Lucy) Hartwick, Erma (Stanley) Mellendorf, Paul Hartwick, Laurence Hartwick, Gerald Hartwick.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 2004 in Cass City First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Blackburn officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Cass City First Presbyterian Church or United Hospice of Marlette.
Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 23 2 to 5 & 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 10 to 11 am. Thursday, March 25 in church
