JERRY ALAN CRANDALL,
59, of Deford, died Thursday, December 22, 2022 in his home. He was born September 3, 1963 in Saginaw to John and Elizabeth (Ruger) Crandall. He married Beverly Joan Perez on September 20, 1985 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Caro.
Jerry graduated from Owendale-Gagetown High School in 1983. He worked for Thomas Roofing of Cass City, then for the Caro Regional Center for just over nine years. Following his time with the Regional Center, Jerry became a self-employed builder with All Weather Seal. He could fix almost anything that had a motor. Jerry was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was the captain of the Hangover Fishing Team out of Thomas Marina. Jerry loved spending time with his grandchildren. He taught them how to hunt, fish, and swim. Jerry helped his grandsons bag their first deer. Watching NASCAR and rooting for Kevin Harvick was a favorite sport.
Jerry is survived by his wife Beverly, children: Jerry Crandall II of Caro, Stacy (Don) Doyle of Caro, Katie (Ricky Bowers) Crandall of Gagetown; grandchildren: Emily Jock, Jerry Crandall III, Dakota Doyle, Callie Doyle, Hudson Bowers; his mother, Elizabeth Crandall of Deford; sisters: Cristal Crandall of Gagetown;
Pam (Barry) Uhl of Deford; Trisha (James) Kelly of Cass City; brother, John Crandall of Deford; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, John O. Crandall; siblings: Jeffery Crandall, Joseph Crandall, Elizabeth Grace Crandall; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mark and Beverly Perez.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2022 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Deacon David Gillespie of Our Lady Consolata, Cass City officiating. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery in the spring. Memorials may be made to Beverly Crandall to be used for the family’s discretion.
