LUCILLE MARGUERITE COX,
95, of Cass City, died peacefully, Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in Northwood Meadows Assisted Living of Cass City. She was born May 3, 1924 in Pigeon to Edward and Minnie Sylvia (Wurtz) Miller. She married Rex Lavern Cox May 14, 1945 in Pigeon. He died February 11, 2006.
Lucille attended Windsor Number One grade school outside of Pigeon. During the war, she worked for Detroit Diesel where she met Rex. Following her time with Detroit Diesel, Lucille was a homemaker and raised her family. She was a member of Cass City United Methodist Church. Before losing her sight to macular degeneration, Lucille enjoyed cooking and reading. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed sewing.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Deanna (Norman) Aronson of Whitmore Lake; son, Dale (Lynn) Cox of Pinckney; son-in-law, Tim Healy of Clarkston; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sisters: Ellen Stoutenburg of Cass City; Aleta (Robert) Bauer of Elkton; sisters-in-law: Margo Miller of Owendale; Mary Ellen Miller of Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rex; daughter, Marsha Healy; brothers: Delmar Miller, Willard Miller.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 in Cass City United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Demyanovich officiating. Memorials may be made to Cass City United Methodist Church. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and photos with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
